TX: Box Of Ants

From: Scott Hall (skoothor@mac.com) | Date: 2003-10-27 09:51:53 UTC-06:00
I have a question about this unclaimed box. We attempted it this
weekend, but ran into a few snags. I am sure that we got the starting
clue right, but we had trouble with the second clue:

2. east side of creek, about 180 paces downstream from the top of the
rapids.

The problems we had were that the creek was dried up and not flowing at
all. So, we couldn't tell which direction was "downstream", nor could
we tell where the "rapids" were to find the "top" of the rapids.

Any further clues for us from someone that has visited this box? We
looked around a bit for any other clues, but without the right starting
point, our searches were in vain.

Thanks,
Skoothor

Thanks for the help. We went to the right and went to what I think was
the "ramp" mentioned in the clues. However, at the bottom of what I
thought was the ramp, was the very rocky creekbed. I found it
difficult to figure out 30 paces from there as the going was so rough.
Also, we were stumped as to what a "troll's staircase" was, so we
didn't seem to be able to get past the ramp clue (assuming we were even
at the correct ramp).

I'm sorry, I blindly hit reply, forgetting that this would go to the
list, rather than to Baby Bear directly. My apologies for sending a
personal message to the list.
